JD Vance Slams Fake ‘Leaked’ Audio Of Him Trashing Elon Musk

William Martin, the communications director for the Vice President, has stated that the recording in question is fabricated and produced by artificial intelligence.

“Definitely not the Vice President,” he commented, sharing a link to a post that has since been removed.

In response to the misleading video, Vance took to X, asserting, “This is a fake AI-generated clip. I’m not surprised that this individual lacks the discernment to identify this reality, but I question whether he possesses the integrity to remove it now that he is aware of its falsehood. If he fails to do so, it could amount to defamation. We shall see!”

As AI technology advances and gains popularity, the prevalence of misleading video and audio content generated by AI is rapidly increasing.

The audio quality is poor and distorted. It remains unclear where the audio originated or why a random social media account would possess a private recording of the Vice President, which is highly improbable.

The video appears to have originated from the TikTok account Joseiitalia, where it has already garnered 1.5 million views. It was also shared on X, accumulating over 500,000 views, and has been featured in multiple Reddit discussions.

In the recording, the individual impersonating Vance makes disparaging remarks about Musk, stating: “Everything he does is criticized in the media, and he claims he’s helping, but he’s not; he’s making us look bad.”

The voice further claims, “he’s making me look bad,” and “he has the audacity to act as if he is an elected official. I am the elected official; I am the significant one in this situation.”
This development arises as the Trump administration confronts a significant security breach this week.

On Monday, President Donald Trump addressed comments made by The Atlantic’s Editor-in-Chief, Jeffrey Goldberg, who disclosed that he was unintentionally included in a group chat where senior Cabinet members deliberated on airstrikes against Houthi terrorists in Yemen.

Goldberg indicated that he had communicated with National Security Adviser Mike Waltz via Signal and was unexpectedly added to a group chat titled “Houthi PC small group” a few days later.

In this chat, officials including Vice President J.D. Vance, Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth, and Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard discussed potential strikes against the Houthis, particularly in light of disruptions to shipping routes in the Middle East.

Trump informed reporters that he was not aware of the situation regarding Goldberg’s accidental inclusion in the conversation.

“I don’t know anything about it. I’m not particularly fond of The Atlantic. To me, it seems like a magazine that is on the verge of going out of business. I don’t think highly of it, but I have no knowledge of this matter. What are you saying they discussed?” Trump began.

“What was the topic? Was it related to the Houthis? You mean the attack on the Houthis? Well, it couldn’t have been very effective because the attack was indeed successful, I can assure you. I’m hearing about this for the first time,” Trump continued.

The messages appeared to reveal senior Trump officials weighing the implications of the strikes.

Vance voiced concerns about assisting Europe without any assurance of reciprocal benefits, given that the Houthi attacks primarily impacted their trade routes.
